9. How long does it take to get my certificate/results?

YMS Training boasts a quick turnaround for certificates. All certificates/results should be issued within 2-3 weeks after your exam date. The only exceptions to this are the PTLLS and Moving & Handling of People courses as these courses are required to be internally and externally verified prior to certification. This can take up to 2-3 months, however we will aim to get all paperwork processed as quickly as possible. All certificates are posted recorded delivery and are required to be signed for. Any certificates returned to us by the royal mail will be required to be collected for our training centre. Please see the find us tab for directions.

10. How long is my certificate valid for?

All certificates are generally valid for 3 years and should be renewed before the expiry date on the certificate.

It is recommended that after completing a First Aid at Work course that you attend an annual skill update every year and complete a 2 day refresher course before your certificate expiry date. If your certificate has expired you will be required to retake the 3 day First Aid at Work course.

Some certificates do not have an expiry date but a recommended refresher date after 3 years. We recommend that you attend some form of refresher training in order to keep your skills up to date.

If you are unsure as to how long your certificate is valid for please contact us on 0191 5819810 or email us at info@ymstraining.co.uk
